When we don’t know what comes next, it can be tempting to look outside ourselves for the answer.
Other people can offer wisdom, experience, perspective, and possibility. But what changes when we include ourselves in the discernment, too?
In this reflection, I share a moment from my own career transition when I realized I had left myself out of the possibilities, and what began to change when I started paying attention to what I already knew.
An inquiry to carry with you:
What do I know? What don’t I know yet? And where might someone else’s perspective help me see more clearly, without asking them to know for me?
Want to continue the practice together?
I’ve love for you to join me for Leadership Through Transition, a free live experience on September 9.
